About Us

Care Philosophy

Our Philosophy We believe that every child is unique and capable of active learning when provided with a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. We value cultural and linguistic diversity as a strength and work closely with families as essential partners in their children's development. We promote learning through play, exploration, and creativity, recognizing that these experiences are the foundation of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Curriculum Philosophy

Our Curriculum Teresa's Care curriculum reflects our mission, vision, and philosophy in our daily practice. We are guided by quality standards such as PITC for infants and toddlers, and DRDP for preschoolers and school-aged children. We design meaningful experiences across all areas of development:

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an inclusive educational community that supports every child and family, celebrating cultural and linguistic diversity, promoting healthy habits, and offering a start in life filled with meaningful learning that strengthens their overall development.

Our Mission

At Teresa's Care, our mission is to provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for children ages 3 months to 12 years. We are committed to respecting each child's developmental milestones and cultural identity. Through a bilingual program, healthy eating and exercise habits, and a play-based learning approach with four hours of outdoor time, we support social-emotional growth through our expectation of being friendly, safe, respectful, and responsible. We foster the cognitive development of problem-solving, reasoning, math, imagination, and creativity with children, always in partnership with their families.

TFCC

Its Beginnings:

My journey in childcare began in 2000, caring for the children of friends and neighbors. Since then, I discovered my calling: creating a space filled with love, safety, and learning. Desiring to improve, I studied at Santa Rosa Junior College, where I earned my Certificate of English as a Second Language (2012) and my Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education (2014), the same year I also received my first childcare license.

I grew up surrounded by nature, eating organic legumes, grains, and plants, which taught me the value of a simple and healthy diet. Upon arriving in this country, I realized that the best way to take care of your body is to return to those principles, and that's why at TFCC, we offer balanced meals and sugars only from natural fruits, promoting healthy habits from childhood.

Inspired by my childhood spent outdoors, I promote four hours of outdoor activities daily in my program, where children explore, express themselves, and learn through play. I've also turned my linguistic heritage into a strength: our center is fully bilingual, with materials and experiences in English and Spanish.

Today I continue my training to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (2026) at Sonoma State, reaffirming my commitment to offering safe, healthy, and learning-filled care for every child and family who trusts us.
